Born in Ankara in 1980, Sinan Aksu is originally from Erzincan.
Mr. Aksu graduated from Ankara Tevfik İleri İmam Hatip High School.
2002 : Mr. Aksu graduated from the History Department at Gazi University.
2003 : Kicking off his public sector career at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mr. Aksu respectively worked as a Deputy Advisor; as the Private Secretary at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and at the Ministry of Family and Social Policies; as the Assistant General Manager at the Youth Services Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; and as a Prime Minister Counselor.
February 20, 2014 : Mr.Aksu became the General Manager of Youth Services.
From March 30, 2015 to July 20, 2018, Mr.Aksu served as the General Manager of the Higher Education Student Loans and Dormitories Institution. While working at the Higher Education Student Loans and Dormitories Institution, Mr. Aksu also participated in youth services projects. At the 2016 Servant Leadership Summit, Mr.Aksu was awarded the “servant bureaucrat of the year.”
July 20, 2018 : Mr.Aksu was appointed the role of Deputy Youth and Sports Minister by the Presidential Decree.
At the 2016 Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Mr.Aksu was elected a Member of the Supervising Board. Mr.Aksu also serves as a chairman of the Board of Trustees and a Board member at several public-benefit foundations and associations.
Mr. Aksu is married and has one child.
